Biography
Gurinder Singh Mann taught Religion at Columbia University, New York (1988-99), held Kapany Chair in Sikh Studies at UC Santa Barbara (1999-2015), and has served as the director of the Global Institute for Sikh Studies, New York (2016). His publications include The Goindval Pothis (Harvard, 1996), The Making of Sikh Scripture (Oxford, 2001), Sikhism (Prentice Hall, 2004, Japanese & Spanish editions, 2007), and he coedited Encyclopedia of Sikhism (E. J. Brill, 2017). During the past two decades, he has made 195 presentations at 117 academic & community forums around the globe.
