Prof. Jon Levenson

Professor Jon D. Levenson is the Albert A. List Professor of Jewish Studies at Harvard Divinity School, where he has taught since 1988. His scholarship focuses on the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible, including its reinterpretations in Second Temple Judaism and rabbinic midrash. In recognition of his contributions to biblical scholarship and interfaith dialogue, Levenson received the 2023 Barry Prize for Distinguished Intellectual Achievement from the American Academy of Sciences and Letters.
